Who Are We?
The BayCo Mutual Aid Initiative is a collective of individuals in Bay Co Florida working to meet the need as a community to ensure everyone has food, hygiene, and menstrual products. We believe that food should be free, harm should be reduced, and trans rights are human rights. It is our mission to platform marginalized people, support our local art and music communities, and fund raise to meet needs in our locality. We aim to create spaces that are safe to all through local community events, and provide resources for basic human necessities. Feed the stomach, feed the soul. Everyone has a right to eat.
Once a quarter, we host a pop-up community clothing drive at Little Village, St. Andrews. At Shop, Drop, & Swap you can leave your wallet at home, and enjoy a unique boutique shopping experience. We are currently accepting clothing donations.
Below you can find a list of resources in Bay Co Florida to pick up or drop off food and other basic necessities. Common Items include: non-perishable food items, deodorant, soap, laundry detergent, toothbrushes and toothpaste, condoms, and menstruation products such as tampons and pads.

In My Wildest Dreams...
I see a Community Center with a thriving Food Forest, a Pay What You Can Kitchen, Closet Swaps, and beds for the unsheltered. I see a network of support from local community members, craftsmen, artists, creatives, healers, and caregivers. I see a shelter, a shower, and a hot meal for anyone in need. I see on-site counseling to help community members get through tough times. I see support for those in need of childcare. I see the needs of our community being met through an organized system of mutual aid and support. It doesn't take a village just to raise a child, it just takes a village.
Community supplies foundational support to every basic need an individual faces, both physical and emotional. Community builds shelters together, feasts together, holds a hand out when you fall. A community supports itself through supporting your fellow. What can a person achieve when their heart, body, and soul are no longer hungry?
I have something to prove. To every person that thinks that they are alone in this cruel and ugly world, to every child in an abusive environment, to every individual that has been chewed up and spit on by our cold and indifferent society. I have to prove to you that SOMEONE cares.
